Police Bank is a mutual bank servicing the wider police community. Police Bank was established by a group of serving police officers in the early 1960s as NSW Police Credit Union. By 1988, membership had grown to over 25,000 members and Police Bank began to expand their branch network. In 2012, members voted for the credit union to become a bank. About Police Bank credit cards

Police Bank offers classic and low-rate credit cards to their members. As a mutual bank, it provides fewer credit card options than traditional banks but creates value for customers through lower rates and fees.

Police Bank does not offer frequent flyer, rewards, platinum or gold credit cards.

Because Police Bank is owned by its members rather than by shareholders, it is able to offer interest rates on the lower end of the market. Police Bank credit card rates are moderately low and include a moderate number of interest-free days.

Like its credit card rates, Police Bank’s fees are generally reasonable. Customers are charged a low late payment fee as well as a low annual fee, which is waived in the first year.

Police Bank also offers an introductory balance transfer deal that allows customers to transfer existing debt to their new account without interest for 12 months.

Police Bank credit cards review

Because of their reasonable rates and fees, Police Bank credit cards are well suited for budget card holders and everyday spenders. Police Bank credit cards do not earn points or frequent flyer benefits, which may make them unsuitable for customers looking for a rewards scheme.

Police Bank credit card rates and fees are on the low end of the market. Police Bank offers moderately low interest rates as well as low annual and late payment fees. In addition, budget customers are given an introductory balance transfer deal that will help them transfer their existing debt.

Police Bank credit card customers can add an additional card holder and access their funds from over 29 million Visa outlets worldwide. Police Bank credit cards are compatible with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay.
