If you frequently shop at a David Jones (DJs) department store, you might be aware of their mobile-based loyalty program launched in 2019. Also called David Jones Rewards, the program offers several benefits to regular shoppers at DJs, such as welcome and birthday rewards, invitations to member-only events, exclusive offers and discounts on shopping, and automatic entry into a monthly draw to win gift cards on your purchase.

How does the David Jones Rewards program work?

David Jones Rewards is a mobile-based loyalty program. Instead of a plastic card, you receive a digital barcode on signing up for the program that can be saved in your Apple/Android wallet or the Stocard app.

Each time you shop at DJs, you may scan your membership to enter a monthly draw. However, it isn’t mandatory to scan your membership, and you also don’t earn any points for shopping at DJs. Instead, all members get automatic access to various schemes and offers under the program, like a welcome gift on sign-up, a birthday reward, personalised offers and event invitations based on your shopping history.

If you plan to join the David Jones membership rewards program, it’s pretty straightforward and will only take you a couple of minutes. All you have to do is visit the David Jones Rewards sign up page, enter your personal details and set a password. You can opt for email updates if you’d like to receive notifications about ongoing offers and promotions from time to time. When signing up, do remember that David Jones doesn’t have an app. You’ll have to visit their website to enrol for the membership program.

How can I earn points for my spending at David Jones?

The David Jones Rewards membership program doesn’t give you any points for your shopping sprees. However, you can earn David Jones points if you hold any of the American Express David Jones cards.

You can choose between the David Jones and David Jones Platinum American Express cards to earn points on your shopping expenditure at DJs. The cards also offer additional perks like free standard delivery for online shopping at David Jones and complimentary gift wrapping.

You might also be eligible for interest-free instalments on certain big-ticket items when shopping at David Jones. Keep in mind that there is more to a credit card than the rewards program offered, so compare rates, fees and features thoroughly.

Additionally, you earn bonus points in specified spend categories like supermarkets and fuel. You also earn additional points for shopping with your card at DJs. The Platinum card earns you 4 Reward Points per dollar spent at David Jones, while the standard card earns 2 Reward Points per dollar.

How can I redeem my David Jones points?

Redeeming your David Jones points through your David Jones Amex Card is easy. You have two options.

  • You can opt to automatically transfer your points to your Qantas frequent flyer program.
  • You may opt-in to Membership Rewards that allows you to shop with points online at David Jones, redeem points for gift cards at David Jones and some other stores, and pay for flights with several leading airlines. You can choose either of the two options without paying any additional fee.

You may visit the David Jones Cards section on the website to get more details on both cards.
