Westpac and Velocity offer special credit card deal
Australians could receive up to 120,000 bonus Velocity points by taking out a new American Express Westpac Altitude Black Bundle.
To qualify for the offer, you must apply by 15 October 2019 and select Velocity as your rewards program, among other conditions.
The bundle consists of two credit cards – the Westpac Altitude Black Mastercard and the American Express Westpac Altitude Black Card. Each card has its own points earn rates, fees and interest rates
As part of the special offer, you must meet certain spending thresholds:
- Mastercard – receive 80,000 Velocity points when you spend at least $4,000 on eligible purchases within 90 days of card approval
- American Express – receive 40,000 Velocity points when you spend at least $3,000 on eligible purchases within 90 days of card approval
People who take up this special offer could also get up to 75 status credits in their first year:
- Mastercard – receive 50 credits when you spend $10,000 within 12 months of card approval
- American Express – receive 25 credits when you qualify for the 40,000 Velocity Points
Converting points into flights
Velocity members need 7,800 points for a one-way economy ticket from Sydney to Melbourne and 22,300 points for a flight from Brisbane to Bali.
