As a Suncorp Bank customer, you’re eligible for complimentary Suncorp credit card insurance. You automatically qualify for the insurance if you’ve paid for your ticket with your Suncorp credit card, redeemed your Suncorp Bank Rewards points, or used the Take Flight Program. The policy benefits also extend to your spouse and dependent children, if they’re travelling with you and have obtained their tickets the same way.

The cover is offered to Suncorp Plus, Suncorp Gold, or Suncorp Platinum cardholders. Each card offers different levels of travel benefits. Typical benefits include purchase cover insurance, a guaranteed pricing scheme, international travel insurance, extended warranty insurance, transit accident insurance and interstate flight inconvenience.

A Suncorp Platinum credit cardholder will get international travel insurance coverage of up to 6 months that includes:

  • Medical costs
  • Access to Allianz global assistance emergency services
  • Loss or theft of belongings
  • Cancellation or delays
  • Costs of resuming travel after the unexpected death of a relative
  • Costs of getting to a special event after an unforeseen interruption in your journey
  • Reimbursement of rental vehicle excess or deductible
  • Your funeral expenses
  • Your accidental death
  • Your legal liability
  • Loss of income as a result of injuries suffered on a journey
